SeaWorld launches new PR campaign the same week that former trainer John Hargrove releases condemning book

This week, SeaWorld launches its new PR campaign to repair its Blackfish-tarnished image. The company is launching a TV and print advertising campaign as well as a website, Ask SeaWorld, on which people can ask trainers questions that'll be answered by the park's experts. Below is a video response to a question to the site:

"I think there's been a lot of misinformation out in the public about who we are and what we do,"SeaWorld senior corporate affairs officer Jill Kermes told the AP. "It has been a one-sided conversation and this is an opportunity for us to give people the information they need so they can make up their own minds."

Meanwhile, John Hargrove, a former SeaWorld trainer, is making the media rounds promoting his new book, Beneath the Surface, which condemns the parks' insistence on keeping killer whales in captivity. Hargrove, whom we interviewed in our first story on Blackfish in 2013, was interviewed on NPR's "Fresh Air" yesterday.
