This is not the actual beer label.
311 is celebrating 25 years as a band by releasing a special box set (81 tracks over four CDs with a 60-page book) of their popular songs and since they're so chill like that, they're also inventing their own beer, named after one of their best-known songs, "Amber," which will be released in July.
It's, of course, an amber ale, and it was crafted by Tampa's Rock Brothers Brewing (a partner of popular Cigar City, who also consulted on the project) and the Omaha band's home state craft brewers, Nebraska Brewing. Rock Brothers' mission is to unite "craft beer and music to support great artists, great beer and even greater fans," so it makes sense they all worked together on this one. They launched this initiative last year with Bradenton band Have Gun, Will Travel and have also partnered with Hootie and the Blowfish and JJ Grey.
311 comes to town to play Hard Rock Live on Sunday, July 26, and we're assuming they'll stock the beers at the show, so you can cheers about the color of your energy in appropriate fashion.
