Oh, Bud Light. The beer brand has been hard at work pushing its "Up for Whatever" campaign,
in which they tell consumers that Bud Light is the perfect beer for "whatever happens." As part of the promotion, it printed different taglines on its bottles that said mostly innocuous things like, "The perfect beer for turning up the old air guitar" and "The perfect beer for busting out all two of your dance moves."
Then there was this one: "The perfect beer for removing 'no' from your vocabulary for the night."
Yesterday Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light's parent company, apologized for the unfortunate implications
that particular slogan had, acknowledging that it "missed the mark" and letting consumers know that it would be permanently retired from the campaign.
