Tired of hearing those same Top-40 club remixes over and over when you go out dancing? Soul Shakedown, a weekly event, honors the greats of up-tempo funk and soul music with special nights dedicated to legends such as Stevie Wonder, Prince and James Brown. For this edition, they’re paying homage to the King of Pop. Host DJ BMF of Phat-N-Jazzy fame spins classics, rarities and remixes from the smooth criminal – along with a selection of songs that sample or were sampled by MJ – and won’t stop till he gets enough. Wanna be startin’ somethin’? Get out on the floor and try to moonwalk till you can’t remember the time. It’s a totally free, indulgent dance night sure to impress all the PYTs.
