Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen adds award-winning mac and cheese to fall menu

  • Rob Bartlett

Last weekend, more than 2,000 people headed to Kissimmee to eat their noodles off at the O-Town MacDown, benefiting Give Kids the World Village, where local restaurants, professional chefs and home cooks competed to win the title of Best Mac 'N Cheese in Orlando.

Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen on Edgewater Drive in College Park took home second place for their Smoked Gouda mac with bacon lardons, Seadog Maple Bacon Stout and a Chipotle BBQ drizzle. (Special shout-out to Outpost, too, for being the only non-hotel mac & cheese to place.)

They're so proud of their creamy dish, Outpost is putting it on their fall menu, so even if you didn't get down to the MacDown, you can try the award-winner. The fall menu drops Oct. 1, so you'll just have to wait another 15 days to get your Gouda on.

Wanna know whose mac & cheese took the big prize? Here's the full list of winners from the 2015 O-Town MacDown.
