Sad news for book lovers: Used bookstore the Book Worm going out of business

Multi-year Best of Orlando award winner the Book Worm (422 N. Bumby Ave.) announced today that they are going out of business.

It's sad news for used-book hounds and budget shoppers; I've found a few hidden gems there over the years, including some killer vintage cookbooks.

No word yet on when exactly they plan to close up the Milk District shop; the proprietor sold us it would be a few weeks and apparently there are no plans as yet to reopen elsewhere.

Bargain hunters should stop by soon. The "Everything Must Go" sale is offering hardbacks for $2, trade paperbacks for $1 and mass-market paperbacks for 50 cents, as well as DVDs, CDs and vinyl for a buck apiece.
