Internet celebrities Mac Sabbath, the band that pays equal tribute to McDonald's mascots and Black Sabbath, will play the Social on Wednesday, March 9, it was announced this week. The California band's popularity exploded this past year after clips went viral on sites like Paste and Consequence of Sound. Their elaborate stage show features parodies of Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Mayor McCheese and the Hamburglar performing mostly spot-on versions of Sabbath classics like "War Pigs" (changed to "More Ribs") and "Paranoid" (now "Pair-a-buns") with updated lyrics. Check out a clip of them performing "Frying Pan" (like "Iron Man," get it?) and pick up tickets through the Social's website tomorrow, Jan. 22, starting at 10 a.m. Tickets are $15.
