A 10-foot gator was safely trapped after wandering through campus at a Lakeland school, Thursday afternoon.

According to Patch, the massive reptile was presumably on its way to a nearby lake, but instead decided to take a stroll through the campus of Geneva Classical Academy at approximately 2 p.m., on March 17.

A video posted to the school's Facebook page, shows a local trapper eventually lassoing the campus crasher shortly before the school's dismissal.

“Our students received a good Polk County education today: how to trap a 9’11” gator,” the school wrote on its Facebook page.

It's also worth noting that the man called in to capture the gator wasn't wearing any shoes, which is incredibly Florida.

Thank you for sharing this video Mary.
