Food Truck Fridays returns to Dr. Phillips with two new trucks

  • Philly Fire Wagon via Facebook
Last week, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts hosted its first Food Truck Friday, and the event continues this week with two new trucks: Philly Fire Wagon and Simply Divine.

Philly Fire Wagon peddles cheesesteaks, as you might gather from the name, but you'll also find cheese fries, homemade chili and, to combine those two gut-busters, chili-cheese hot dogs.

The owners of the food truck are also deep into opening a storefront in Cocoa. Look for a mid-April opening, according to their Facebook page.

At the Simply Divine truck, which by the way was named Best Food Truck in Orlando by the Orlando Sentinel last year, find Puerto Rican fusion cuisine like tripletas, palomilla steak and empanadas. Rico!

It's supposed to break 90 degrees on Friday, so we suggest leaving the blazer at your desk and rolling up your sleeves before hoofing it to the Dr. Phillips Center.

Lunch service starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m., and there's plenty of room to spread out on the lawn and enjoy our ever-developing urban center.
