As the finale to the Rusty Spoon's fifth-anniversary celebration
, chefs and longtime friends Kathleen Blake (chef-owner of the Rusty Spoon) and Melissa Kelly, chef-owner of Primo at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes
(as well as the flagship Primo in Rockland, Maine), are teaming up to celebrate local ingredients from Central Florida on Friday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m.
The date isn't insignificant: April 22 is Earth Day, and the dinner will highlight sustainable ingredients with a low carbon footprint (i.e., ingredients that didn't have to travel across the country to get to your plate) and ones that come from organic farms like the one Kelly established at Primo after its opening in 2003.
The event isn't cheap at $95 per guest (not including tax and gratuity), but based on the recognition both of these #girlbosses have garnered over their careers, it'll definitely be a not-to-be-missed evening.
