AMC Theaters announced today they will screen the movie that made Prince Rogers Nelson a superstar – or rather, the movie that let the rest of us know that he was born one – in 87 theaters nationwide, between Saturday, April 23, and Thursday, April 28.

In Orlando, you can catch Purple Rain at AMC Disney Springs 24 (1500 E. Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista) and the AMC Universal Cineplex 20 (6000 Universal Blvd.). Confirm before you get in the car, obviously, but as of posting, the Disney theater lists showings at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday-Thursday, and the Universal theater has an 11:40 a.m. and a 7:55 p.m. showing Saturday, settling into 2:05 and 7:55 p.m. showings Sunday-Thursday. And make sure it's Lake Minnetonka before you jump in.
