Animal organizations around town have stepped up to help care for pets affected by the Pulse Nightclub shootings. If you know of an animal that was left behind by a hospitalized or deceased victim, or if you need help caring for your pets as you attend to friends and family affected by the shootings, these groups have volunteered their assistance.
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
"Sunday morning our community experienced a tragic act of terrorism and hatred that has deeply impacted us all. We offer our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this senseless violence. For 80 years, it has been our honor to provide care and support for pets that need our help. If you are aware of such a pet, please contact us at 407-418-0906. We will provide short-term care for those hospitalized or assist families with alternative permanent arrangements if needed."
The Pixel Fund
"If you can help your Orlando Community by temp fostering an animal belonging to one of the victims, please PM us through this page. We are trying to help those coordinating the care of animals left behind in homes and apartments by those who may be in hospital. PM us ASAP if you can help. Visit our website to fill out a foster app so we can get you in our system and direct you to how you can help."
Pookie Bros. Pet Sitting

Winter Park Lost Pets
"We are compiling a list of rescues/services/people willing to hold/foster/adopt pets for victims and survivors of the Pulse Orlando shooting. Please comment if you are a pet service or can help in any way. Some people won't be coming home to their pet."
Melanie Rollman, Pet Sitter and organizer of Conway Critters Facebook group
If you are aware of pets who are in need of care because their owners have been hospitalized or perished in the #OrlandoShooting please call this number and ask for Melanie. 407-222-8133.
"Conway Critters (the Facebook group that I run) is banding together, as we are not only closer to the crime scene, but we are known for making things happen! If you can help in any capacity, please post below your name and how you can help. Conway Critters is a closed group so no one outside of the group will see your information unless you post it on your own private wall. If you still are not comfortable posting it on this thread, I am asking for you to message me privately and let me know. … It is up to each of you to let me know so that I can transfer your information to a spreadsheet that I am putting together. It does not matter how you can help. All help is welcome and desperately needed! These people have pets at home that need us! Each minute that passes is another minute that these animals go hungry, thirsty, and remain confused as to where their loved ones are. Please... Can you foster, transport, provide food, medical help, etc? Let's put our efforts in action and come together. Thank you!"
Darien Kay Terrell, No Claws For Worry Pet Care
"I am happy to volunteer my pet sitting services to any of the pets of the victims. This would include at no charge visiting, feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, scooping litter boxes, watering plants, and giving any of the animals extra special loving in the absence of their beloved person. The area that my company, No Claws For Worry Pet Care, can service is between downtown Orlando and South to Belle Isle. The office phone number is 407-251-0131 and the email is firstname.lastname@example.org. While we continue to pray for those still in the hospital and those families of the ones who lost their lives, perhaps any small act of kindness can help to relieve the stress, if even for a moment."
