Welcome back to Earth.

That's right, the classic (yes, classic) 1996 sci-fi blockbuster Independence Day is coming back to theaters this Thursday as part of a double feature with its new sequel Independence Day: Resurgence.

While it's too early to say if the new movie will be any good - although it does have silver fox Jeff Goldblum - being able to see the original at a movie theater again may be worth the price of admission alone. A ticket for both films will run you around $22.

Your favorite moments; Bill Pullman's rousing speech, the exploding White House, hilariously antiquated 90's hacking, and of course, Will Smith punching an alien in its goddamn head, will all be able to been seen on the glorious big screen. You know you don't want to miss this.
The Independence Day films are playing back-to-back this Thursday, June 23, at 5 p.m. at the following theaters:
  • Regal Waterford Lakes Stadium 20 & IMAX - 541 N. Alafaya Trail
  • Regal Oviedo Mall Stadium - 1500 Oviedo Mall Blvd
  • Regal The Loop Stadium & RPX - 3232 N. John Young Parkway, Kissimmee
  • Regal Winter Park Stadium 20 & RPX - 510 N. Orlando Ave
  • Regal Pointe Orlando Stadium 20 & IMAX - 9101 International Drive
