Country standouts Austin Lucas and Matt Woods love to play Orlando, and Orlando loves 'em right back

Whether it's a testament to the good-naturedness of Orlandoans or just our balmy climes, we seem to have impressed a few extremely talented country singers in the past few years, judging by the frequency that they squeeze Orlando into their tour schedules. While folk-punk Austin Lucas (pictured) may have started the trend a few years ago before his sound matured into something more classically country (pronounced "Americana" if you're a marketing executive), Knoxville, Tennessee's Matt Woods has picked up the slack in recent years. Woods even likes us so much that he's filmed music videos inside storied Milk District hangs the Bull & Bush and Whiskey Lou's, and poached Larry Fulford to be his drummer for two albums and more than a few tours. These guys tend to have a devoted, hard-drinking, sing-along audience at their Orlando shows, and it may have something to do with the fact that, with these guys, the fandom is mutual.
