Instead of heading out after work tomorrow to down a martini or four with your co-workers, you could probably sway the decision about where to spend your post-workweek calories elsewhere.

Blue Bird Bake Shop in Audubon Park has taken the idea of happy hour and turned it on its frosted head. Instead of just booze, why not an adult-beverage-inspired cupcake?

From 5 to 7 p.m. (or until they sell out) on Friday, BBBS will feature $2 cupcakes brushed with booze. This week: Kahlua & Cream is the featured flavor. It's vanilla cake with Kahlua buttercream frosting, topped with a dark-chocolate-covered espresso bean.

As Stephen King's main character in The Shining, Jack Torrance, says at his own hallucinatory happy hour: "You set 'em up, and [we'll] knock 'em back."
