The Falcon hosts a Drunk Spelling Bee – for adults, probably

  • Still from Bad Words, Focus Features, 2014
Finally, a bar competition we can get behind: Show off your knowledge of silent letters and etymology while getting revenge for getting knocked out of your middle school spelling bee on a bullshit word like “narthex.” Throw five bucks in the hat to compete and receive a draft beer and sake shots between rounds to keep things interesting. The winner finally gets a reason to call their parents with good news, so get there early to sign up.

9 p.m. Thursday; The Falcon, 819 E. Washington St.; $5 to compete;
