Orlando City Council announced this week that the famous Lake Eola fountain will now only play "Smooth," the Grammy Award-winning song by Santana, which also features the voice of former Orlando resident Rob Thomas.

"Guests visiting downtown will really appreciate it when they hear the words 'Man, it's a hot one, like 7 inches from the midday sun,'" said councilwoman Patty Sheehan last Friday.

"It's a perfect tribute to Orlando's most accomplished musician," she added.

Unfortunately, because of strict copyright laws, the city of Orlando is only allowed to play the first 30 seconds of "Smooth," which will loop for a solid 16-hour span from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every single day.

Editor's note: April Fools. Yes, this story is indeed satire. Enjoy.
