It’s a scientifically proven fact – maybe – that alcohol makes it easier to learn a foreign language, which is why this monthly meetup of folks looking to practice their tonguework takes place in a bar. Grab a beer and cozy up with a speaker of whatever language floats your boat and do your part to improve cultural relations. Bonus points if you’re talented enough to show others some new tricks.

8 p.m. Wednesday; Sandwich Bar, 2431 E. Robinson St.; free;
