Maybe you're the next Carrie Underwood or Ruben Studdard. Or maybe you just want to be on T.V. Either way, American Idol
is back, and it's headed to Orlando this summer.
What does this mean for aspiring young stars? On August 17, they will have the chance to audition for the show. Participants must be of ages 15 to 28, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The venue has not been released yet, but you can sign up
for alerts about the details of the auditions.
Though season 15 was supposed to be the "Farewell Season," American Idol
has been approved for a reboot with ABC. Grammy award-winning singer Katy Perry has been announced as one of the judges, but the remaining spots in the panel have yet to be released.
If you can't make it to the auditions (or you just don't feel like waiting in what is bound to be an extremely long line), you can now audition online
by sending in a video. If you're selected to move forward for a callback, you'll be contacted by a producer any time between now and October 15.
