Local poets get right back to slamming after returning from National Poetry Slam

  • Anthony Nogueria, via Facebook
Having just returned from the 2017 National Poetry Slam in Denver, Colorado, where they competed against some of the top slam poets in the country, the Safe Words Poetry Slam team is wasting no time in getting back to work. This week sees the team begin its 2017-18 season with a four-round poetry slam where four teams of poets perform their best pieces in rounds devoted to topics like sports and games or the age-old battle of sharks versus dolphins. Welcome back, poets!
