There's a new addition to Tampa's Busch Garden's animal family.
The company announced today a 3-pound male Bornean orangutan was recently born at the theme park, according to a their official Facebook page
The park reports the baby is healthy and currently being cared for by its mother Luna.
On Thursday, Nov. 16 the baby will be named through a Facebook poll, according to the Orlando Sentinel
In the coming weeks, visitors will be able to see the baby in the Jungala area of the theme park.
Bornean orangutans are critically endangered, with their population declining more than 50 percent over the past 60 years, according to the World Wildlife Foundation
Over the past 20 years, the species' habitat has been reduced by 55 percent due to hunting and deforestation in their lowland rainforest and mountain forest habitats.
