Booze is as endemic to the holidays as candy canes and gelt, and this year, one of downtown’s top craft cocktail bars is going all-in on a holiday revamp sure to put some wassail on your chest. The Courtesy Bar has been selected as one of 56 bars across the country to participate in Miracle, a program that turns high-minded cocktail bars into winter wonderlands covered in nostalgic holiday decor and featuring special holiday cocktails for an entire month. Miracle on Orange – the name of the Courtesy’s branch – serves up special drinks like a Snowball Old Fashioned or How the Gimlet Stole Christmas. (Spoiler alert: He used gin.) Ten percent of sales through Dec. 24 benefit Action Against Hunger, so save your change and spend it here instead of tossing it in the Salvation Army’s red hate-bucket outside of Publix.
