Fans of Frank Capra’s beloved look at small-town American life, 1946’s It’s a Wonderful Life
, will find plenty to be thankful for at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater this season. The Shakes is bringing the film to the stage in the style of a live ’40s-style radio broadcast. While the actors do their best impression of Jimmy Stewart’s kind-hearted everyman, George Bailey, and his guardian angel, Clarence, a full-fledged foley artist re-creates the sounds of Bedford Falls, breathing new life into a holiday classic. What else do you want? The moon? You want someone to lasso the moon and pull it down for ya?
