The West Art District over in Parramore has brought an explosion of color and vibrance to the all-too-often neglected neighborhood. This weekend, they celebrate their success with a block-party open house that offers visitors the chance to see renowned graffiti artists paint live murals while B-boys and -girls compete in a breakdancing competition and live music fills the air. If you have kids, make sure they don't wear their good clothes, because the kids art area is sure to leave them a multicolored mess. But if you join the free graffiti workshop in the evening, expect the same thing. – TM
