South Florida native Georgio Valentino’s search for kindred musical spirits ended up bringing him to the Low Countries of Europe. Along with his band, La Société des Mélancoliques, Valentino fuses his love of moody soundtracks and experimental rock into a body of work that revels in moody soundscapes, cryptic lyrics and gothic-jazz groove. Valentino recently announced that he is retiring from music, putting a capstone on his career with his final release, The Future Lasts a Long Time – which means that this is your last chance to see “the Dove” before he flies off forever.
