Just a bird shopping for birdseed in a Publix

Publix, "Where shopping is a pleasure" for birds too.

Today Twitter user @PuddinHearts caught this most excellent image of a bird perusing the birdseed section of a Publix grocery store, and I think we finally have our Orlando Weekly animal photo of the year.

Previous winners include, unaware raccoon standing on alligator, and gator riding on manatee.

Look, in this hellscape of a year, it's the little things that make it not all that bad. So, thank you, birdseed shopping bird.

Even though this is an incredibly Florida thing to happen, it's unclear at the moment if this precious moment was captured in a Florida Publix. But does it really matter?
