Clearwater Beach was just named the best patch of sand in the country by TripAdvisor.

The beach took the top spot in the annual TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award. In 2017 that spot was owned by Siesta Beach, and Pinellas County in 2016.

Overall, Florida dominates the list with six of the top 10, and eight of the 25. Other Florida beaches on the list are Siesta Beach at No. 2, South Beach at No. 4, Fort Lauderdale Beach at No. 6, St. Pete Beach at No. 7, Hollywood Beach at No. 8 and Fort Myers Beach at No. 14.

These results are based on the quality and quantity of reviews beachgoers report on TripAdvisor.

The list also included the best beaches in the world, with Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos, taking claiming the planet's best beach title.
