Someone just tried to land a plane on MLK in Kissimmee

A small plane had to make an emergency landing on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Kissimmee this afternoon.

The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. on MLK between Thacker Avenue and John Young Parkway, says the Kissimmee Police department.

No injuries were reported.

It would appear planes landing on public streets isn't that uncommon in Central Florida. Just last November, someone tried to land a plane on I-4 during rush hour near the Longwood exit.

This is a breaking story and we'll update when more information is available.
