One part arts collective and one part supergroup, the critically-lauded August Greene has announced an Orlando date for later this spring. The group, consisting of core trio Robert Glasper (pianist), Common (MC) and Karriem Riggins (percussionist) and joined by a rotating family of collaborators, create a lyrical and evocative hybrid of hip-hop and jazz. A string of recent live shows and the release of their self-titled debut album show them more than living up the hype.

August Greene play the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49.50.
