Local wrestling promotion USA Pro has been pinging our radar pretty consistently with a regular string of bimonthly cards heavy on star power, both past and present. Their events are a great middle-ground for those who checked out of pro-wrestling after, say, ECW went out of business or those who are well-versed in the indie scene of today. Wrestle War 1 boasts a stacked roster including former WWE/ECW/TNA grapplers like Jack Swagger, the “Franchise” Shane Douglas, Shannon Moore, Wes Brisco, Elijah Moore, James Storm and the “Raging Bull” Manny Fernandez. The match that got us unconsciously mouthing the words “holy shit” over and over again is veteran lucha daredevil Super Crazy coming in to the fed to take on new-schooler Serpentico. Seems a great way to pass a Saturday night seeing some wrestling without breaking the bank (however expect tables and sundry other objects to be fair game).

7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 | Orlando National Guard Armory, 2809 S. Ferncreek Ave. | twitter.com/usaprowrestling | $20-$35
