Italian restaurant Tre Bambine opens today near Lake Eola in downtown Orlando

Italian restaurant Tre Bambine is now open in the space that previously housed Spice Modern Steakhouse next to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando.

Tre Bambine, at 407 E. Central Blvd., is opening Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The lakeside restaurant specializes in pastas, flatbreads, bruschettas,  paninis, soups, salads and "shareables." These small appetizers include lasagna cupcakes, goat cheese and poached pear, and fresh figs and mozzarella skewers.

The restaurant also has a dog-friendly patio.

"Tre Bambine," a concept by Jacquelyn Angiulli, is a reference to her three daughters.
