Orlando's classical music boundary-pushers Alterity Chamber Orchestra announce a quick return to the Abbey in April for an evening of music by contemporary composers dubbed "The Art of Levitation."

This will be the second and, sadly, last full orchestra performance by Alterity this season, so they're certain to give their all performing work by the likes of David Lang, Arlene Sierra, Kate Moore, Paul Dooley, Ted Hearne, and Nima Hamidi.

And as with the "Reveries" show in late February, the orchestra will be playing pieces by two more of their "call for scores" contest winners: Brian Ciach and Julia Seeholzer.

The Alterity Chamber Orchestra returns to the Abbey on Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10-$20.
