Robert Lopez - NOLA LOPEZ

Brooklyn writer Robert Lopez boasts an impressive body of work, and reviews of his 2015 story collection, Good People, compared his writing to that of Samuel Beckett, Gertrude Stein and Albert Camus. But he’ll have to bring his A game if he wants to outshine the locals who will read with him at this literary Lil Indies outing: Jamie Poissant, whose 2014 collection The Heaven of Animals (Simon & Schuster) drew glowing blurbs from every writer you love; Ashley Inguanta, the talented triple threat poet-photographer-dancer whose next book is out late 2019; and Holly Tavel, whose collection The Weather in Fritz Bemelmans Park was one of the best things we read in 2016. Our only complaint about this event is that if the writers are out reading, it means they aren’t home writing. Entertain us!
