Amid the usual hustle and bustle of downtown Orlando, you’ll be able to hear a new, more pleasant sound this weekend as Opera del Sol performs an outdoor show in Lake Eola Park. On a mission to change the way opera and the performing arts are perceived, this dedicated group of performers prefer to showcase their talents in unique settings to provide their audience with an intimate show – and what better place than the scenic Lake Eola for a backdrop? The performance is free, but VIP tickets come with a good seat, a swag bag and a drink.

Noon Sunday, April 14 | Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola Park, 512 E. Washington St. | 407-246-2555 | operadelsol.org | free-$20
