Theatrical Japanese pop-metal wunderkinds Babymetal are setting their sights on North American domination later this year with the announcement of a September/October tour that, amazingly, will kick off right here in the City Beautiful.

The band recently lost one of their three singers — Yuimetal, who headed off for a solo career — with Su-metal and Moametal (and their backing band) soldiering on. Babymetal seem to be rolling along just fine despite Yuimetal's departure, releasing new single "Elevator Girl" on the same day as this tour announcement. A new album is also reportedly in the works.

Babymetal play the Hard Rock Live with Avatar on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
