MegaCon, the long-running pop-culture fandom blowout in Orlando, is back this summer after nixing in-person events during 2020. And they've just announced a big name for the both sci-fi fans and anglophiles (would love for someone to mock up that Venn diagram): Christopher Eccleston of Doctor Who fame.

Ecclestone played the fan-favorite Ninth Doctor on the BBC staple, and has revisited the role of late in a series of audiobooks.

Eccleston is the latest addition to a MegaCon lineup that includes William Shatner, Brendan Fraser, Venom writer Donny Cates and a literal gaggle of cinematic Hobbits led by Elijah Wood.

MegaCon happens on Aug. 12-15 at the usual location of the Orange County Convention Center. Tickets are on sale now.
