We’re all aware DeLand is home to a burgeoning culinary scene. (And if you don’t know, now you know.) But you might not have realized that their museum is a destination spot for fans of contemporary art, with shows in the last year including Op Art pioneer Richard Anuszkiewicz and postwar Modernist Byron Browne. It’s not all fish tacos at Cress and craft brews at Persimmon Hollow, you know, though a trip to the museum followed by visits to one or both of those places sounds like an awfully pleasant Saturday afternoon.
