2021 N. Goldenrod Road
The brightly colored grocery on Goldenrod Road is frequented as much for the taco stand inside as it is for Latin comestible staples. There, young ladies prepare some of the best and (at $1.50 each) cheapest tacos in the city. Sunday afternoons are popular with Mexican families, who occupy the handful of tables downing any of the nine tacos offered, including juicy al pastor, richly flavored carne asada, cabeza (beef head) and lengua. Dip them in smoky hot sauce and follow it up with a sugary guzzle of Mexican Coca-Cola for full impact.
