Bite 2016: Square 1 Burgers

Wth an interior straight outta HGTV's Fixer Upper, Square 1 Burgers brings a bit of cattle-country style and rhinestone-cowboy swagger to the streets of Winter Park. There aren't very many full-service burger joints like this in town, let alone any festooned in rawhide, red velvet and chandeliers, but Square 1 pulls off both form and function in grand fashion.

When it comes to the "better burger" market, a rising tide lifts all boats, and Square 1's Double Bacon Boomer Sooner is nothing short of a leaning tower of protein "for the profound appetite." Double the Angus patties, double the applewood-smoked bacon and double the cheddar, all slathered in a hefty, drippy dose of chipotle-ranch "Sooner sauce" and placed between two halves of a split sesame-seed bun, gives this signature burger vertical chops. Will Rogers said he never met a man he didn't like, and many would say the same about burgers. Trust us, this one you'll like.
