NEWS: Another reason to visit Morimoto Asia: Top Chef Season 3 winner Hung Huynh is now the chef de cuisine ... Brunch is now being served at K Restaurant in College Park every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OPENINGS: Winter Park Biscuit Co., a vegan pop-up eatery by chef Mary Mattern, debuts in February at East End Market. The pop-up will run for at least a couple of weeks. Mattern and her fiancé will open their all-vegan Heirloom Deli in April ... Cult fave Voodoo Doughnut opens this spring at Universal CityWalk. Voodoo doll doughnut, anyone? ... Look for Sugar Sow Bacon & BBQ to open next door to Tamale & Co. Take-Out in Altamonte Springs ... Garp & Fuss is now open off Park Avenue in Winter Park ... Hot on the heels of Gringos Locos opening in SoDo comes word that Tin & Taco will do the same "sometime soon" ... Chela Tequila & Tacos (formerly Kasa) has opened downtown ... Bulgogi House Korean BBQ has opened on West Colonial Drive near Edgewater Drive ... Calle 3 M3xican Str33t Kitch3n has opened on South OBT in Apopka ... Look for the brand-new, flatscreen-stuffed Copper Rocket to open Feb. 3 in Maitland ... Rubio's Coastal Grill will open in Lake Nona Feb. 8 ... Over in Daytona Beach, Winter Park's Cocina 214 has opened an outpost.

CLOSINGS: Downtown Credo has poured its last coffee inside the Church Street Exchange. Locations in College Park, the Health Village and North Quarter remain open ... Zona Fresca has closed.

EVENTS: Tickets to one of our favorite events, the annual Field to Feast Dinner at Long & Scott Farms, are now on sale. The open-air dine-around features chefs from numerous Disney restaurants serving dishes paired with wine, beer, and cocktails selected by master sommelier George Miliotes. The event runs from 3-6 p.m. Feb. 17. Cost is $175. It always sells out, so get your tickets while you can ... Seito Sushi Baldwin Park will host Talley Vineyards for a special wine dinner Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. The seven-course meal goes for $135 per person ... Thirty of your favorite local brewers gather together for the Central Florida Brewer's Fest Feb. 3 from 1-5 p.m. at the Seminole Harley-Davidson. Cost is $40.
