Gimme Shelter: Meet Gia!

Are you looking for a new furry friend? Meet Gia!

Gia (A384653) is 5 years old and was brought to us because her owner could no longer keep her. Gia is a little shy at first, but she's a sweet girl and she can't wait to find a home. Her previous owner said that she is housebroken, and that she does well with children. She does have heartworm disease, but her treatment is sponsored in full.

For the month of August, Orange County Animal Services will be celebrating "Pawgust" by reducing dog and cat adoption fees. Dogs will be $15 to adopt, and cats will be $10. Fees include sterilization, vaccinations and a microchip.

Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando, Florida near the Mall at Millenia. The shelter is open 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, please call 407-836-3111 or visit
