Industrious Kosher kitchen

The back end of an industrial park in Winter Springs is a most unlikely place to get kosher groceries and meat, but that's exactly where you'll find the office of Kosher Kats.

I say "office" because this isn't exactly a deli counter. It's a place where you can order baked goods, roasts and more, all certified kosher and hand-picked from some of the best places in the country. There are cookies and egg-rich challah bread from Ilana's Bakery in Hollywood, Fla.; Sabra hummus and herring from Israel, and Gabillia's Knishes "from Brooklyn New York."

Take the drive to 1255 Belle Ave. (call 407-696-8873 for directions), or do it the easy way and hop onto kosherkats.com. You can get certified kosher chickens and turkeys, "Mrs. Weinburg's homestyle" chopped liver and logs of Israeli halvah delivered to your door. They even have chocolate rugalach, just like Grandma used to buy.
