Disney Springs eternal
I disagree with the statement that Disney started closing clubs six years ago to make way for Disney Springs (“Two new restaurants to open at the former Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney,” Oct. 28, blogs.orlandoweekly.com). They started closing clubs because they couldn’t figure out how to make money – whether to charge admission or allow free entry being the biggest issue. I went to Adventurers Club (the greatest thing Disney World has ever offered) dozens of times and bought drinks only three or four times because they never had enough servers and no food.

Word on the street is Morimoto backed out from that venture. Don’t think his restaurant is still happening, and if it is, he’s not part of it

I think this movie looks good (“Film Review: Dear White People,” Oct. 22). I’m very interested in seeing it, as I bet many others are, as well. I think bringing up some hot-topic points with humor sounds fun. The cast looks good. I especially like Dennis Haysbert as the dean. I’ve really enjoyed his past characters I’ve seen him play. Count me in!

I would’ve taken your review seriously from a critical view, but you gave it one star. This is not a one-star movie. The Last Airbender is a one-star movie. Catwoman is a one-star movie, maybe two on a good day. Battlefield Earth was a one-star movie. This is not a one-star movie. You should be ashamed of yourself to be called a critic. You let your emotions and prejudice get in the way of reviewing this movie from a critical standpoint. Please quit your job as a journalist, because you have obviously failed.
