(2010-91466) 2:39 p.m.: Burglars at an apartment in the 3000 block of South Semoran Boulevard left the scene in two cars, and when one vehicle was stopped, its four occupants confessed.
(2010-92229) 11: 20 p.m.: Four guys came into the Citgo on Tallokas Avenue, robbed the clerk and shot him twice. All four wore black, except for one in blue-jean shorts. They fled down West Kaley Avenue on bicycles.
(OCSO) 10:02 a.m.: A man walked into the Orange County Jail Booking and Release Center on John Young Parkway seeking to bail out his girlfriend who'd been jailed the previous night on drug charges. Deputies recognized him as wanted on several felony warrants and he bolted. Deputies and OPD ran him down at a RaceTrac gas station several blocks away. In a holding cell, the Daytona Beach man "grabbed feces from his anal area and smeared it on the cell block glass door," then "apparently swallowed the feces and stuck his tongue out." Nice.
(OCSO) 8:18 a.m.: A school crossing guard flagged down a state trooper at the corner of Powers Road and Jennings Street to report shots between two cars. They followed one until sheriff's deputies arrived and pulled the car over. The convicted felon inside had a 9 mm pistol that had been reported stolen.
(2010-95389) 5:23 p.m.: Police saw a couple arguing outside Home Suite Home on East Colonial Drive, and recognized the guy as having an active felony domestic battery warrant. But it was the woman who gave them trouble, scratching and spitting on the cops several times. Both were arrested.
(2010-95990) 12:40 a.m.: A woman swiped a car near the corner of West Church Street and Division Avenue, but soon crashed it into Mt. Olive CME Church on Woods Avenue.
(2010-96631) 12:25 p.m.: A broken vehicle window at the Holiday Inn on T.G. Lee Boulevard yielded $12,000 in electronic equipment.
(2010-96672) 1:13 p.m.: Two guys came up behind a man as he was checking his mail in the 1800 block of South Kirkman Road. They took his license, debit card and checkbook, then fled along Shingle Creek canal.
(2010-97191) 9:45 p.m.: The shooting call in the 4400 block of North John Young Parkway was fake, but resulted in discovering a man with a real concealed weapon.
(2010-97739) 4:15 a.m.: An officer saw a blue Oldsmobile flying down West Central Boulevard that failed to stop at lights. He chased the car down South Bryan Avenue until the driver bailed … and ran into an OPD garage to hide. Canines found him under a police truck, along with lots of crack and half a dozen Xanax.
(OCSO) 10:21 a.m.: Police answering a shots-fired call at Beach Club Apartments on Texas Avenue found a wounded man in an SUV who said someone tried to carjack him.
(2010-98245) 3 p.m.: Someone swiped air conditioning units from South Sea Center on Curry Ford Road a few days ago, but then came back to steal whatever debris was left.
(OCSO) 6:07 p.m.: A man was seen walking down a street in Tanner Crossing subdivision, carrying two rifles and knocking on doors. Deputies found the man outside his own house, intoxicated but unarmed. He went back in and said he'd only talk to one deputy he knew. That deputy persuaded him to come out and the man was Baker Acted. Officers took 11 rifles and a shotgun for safekeeping.
(2010-98431) 6:15 p.m.: A black car with tinted windows and three occupants cruised past a bus stop in the 3900 block of Rosewood Way, and someone inside fired shots at a man waiting for the bus. He ran and was hit in the leg. The car sped off south on Cinderlane Parkway.
(2010-98534) 7:53 p.m.: Welcome home! While you were gone for a couple of days thieves smashed your back door and took flat-screens, computers and more from your place in the 1500 block of East Concord Street. You won't miss that $7,000, right?
(OCSO): Home invasion on 400 block of Sorrento Road. Three people burst in with handguns, shot and killed one man.
(2010-99913) 4:37 p.m.: Somebody fired three shots into a vehicle going down the 6400 block of Raleigh Street, causing the driver to hit a light pole and tree.
(2010-100403) 10:50 p.m.: Briefly, the horror was real for two women and a man in an apartment in the 6300 block of Raleigh Street. Two men — one with a gun, the other in a "Jason"-style hockey mask — followed them in. But they were content with robbery and pistol-whipping instead of resorting to axes.
