The Oriental Supermarket is like the Home Depot of Asian cooking. In fact, a miniforklift might be in order if you want to cart home a few bags of rice -- at 50 pounds each, they're stacked by the door like sacks of fertilizer.

It's fun to explore the brightly lit aisles stocked with dozens of varieties of canned quail eggs, shrink-wrapped dried plums and soy sauce. The refrigerated area offers healthful Korean kimchi -- pickled cabbage, heavy on the garlic -- by the pint or the gallon. The green-tea aisle is crowded with enough varieties to keep you stuck in selection mode for hours.

To make sure you're properly entertained while digesting your exotic edibles, head over to the blockbuster section and pick up a few ninja videos on your way out.
