“Been listening to Galaxie 500 and some noisier Blonde Redhead stuff, like songs from the album Fake Can Be Just As Good. I keep listening to the first two Pixies albums. I love the lyrics. I listen to that Yuck album a lot, and the first two Smith Westerns albums a good deal. I fall asleep to those sometimes. I probably listen to the rap-pop stations here in West Palm more often than I listen to my iPod music in my car, though. I don’t know what it is. I think I’m getting to that point where I’m too old to want to think or ponder ... I’d rather just space out to pop songs. I love Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. I’ve always loved Busta Rhymes. I love Ke$ha and Lady Gaga more than anyone would ever believe. (And if you don’t believe me, find out how I won free tickets to Lady Gaga on her last tour down here.) But my favorite new find, truly, is the whole sissy bounce genre in general. If I ever have friends over, I just make them watch a bunch of sissy bounce videos on YouTube. My favorite is Big Freedia. We were almost going to be able to open for him/her in Kentucky, but it didn’t work out. I would’ve been so excited.”
