It's as much an annual ailment as it is a vaunted tradition – we haven't purchased gifts for half the people on our list, and we throw a heap of excuses at the absurd situation we find ourselves in just a week before Christmas. We were too busy, we were waiting to stumble across that perfect something, we thought we'd learn to knit/bake/sew/craft something special for everyone by now. But here we are, once again, with a list of people for whom we have to buy gifts. And the clock is ticking.

Well, you have no more time for excuses. Now you've just got to get out there and get something for your sister who had a baby, your former enemy who surprised you by mending fences just in time for the holidays, your significant other who's impossible to buy for. To help spur you to action, we've compiled our annual list of gift ideas for late-thinking losers, focusing on places you might end up this holiday season, anyway – or, at least, places you aren't likely to be caught by anyone who'll recognize the fact that you're shopping at the last minute. We'd say that you should settle down and enjoy this fever-pitched yule ride, but there's not enough time left for that. Grab your Weekly, grab some coffee and get out the door. There's still time to save face.
