OPENINGS: Look for The Nook, a neighborhood bar and eatery, to open on Robinson Street in the Milk District March 3 ... The Wildflower Vegan Co. has opened on East Altamonte Drive in Casselberry. The vegan café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a Sunday brunch. Gluten- and soy-free options are also available ... In other vegan-related news, the Winter Park Biscuit Co., by chef Mary Mattern, will pop up Feb. 24 at 8 a.m. at East End Market. Mattern hopes WPBCo. will become a fixture at the Winter Park Farmers Market and, possibly, the Maitland Farmers Market ... Southern Spice Indian Cuisine, specializing in fare from Chettinad, has opened on Turkey Lake Road ... Foxtail Coffee Co. and Island Fin Poke Co. will open locations in the Pixon apartments in Lake Nona in early 2019.

NEWS: El Buda Latin Asian Restaurant is now serving a late-night menu Thursdays through Saturdays until 1 a.m. ... In celebration of Chinese New Year, Hawkers in Mills 50 will stage a traditional lion/dragon dance as well as a kung fu demonstration at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16.

Cost for the seven-course meal (with wine, cocktails and dessert) is $250 ... The 10th Annual Downtown Food & Wine Fest takes place from noon-9 p.m. Feb. 24 and noon-7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Lake Eola Park. Cost is $18, or $30 for both days ... The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival returns Feb. 28 and runs through May 28 featuring 15 outdoor kitchens ...
