Year in review 1999

In many ways, 1999 was a triumphant year for animals. Tillikum the whale learned how to make a new friend, and mice came from nowhere to establish an elaborate, Marine-like invasion of Apopka. But other cute and fuzzy things had their day, too -- like the Backstreet Boys. The time line is your chance to relive the year's fluffy gossip as well as serious news, along with several trend features. Think of it as the recovered videotape of Orlando Weekly's trek into 1999's woods, where we kept stumbling over the same stones and sticks. With one difference: You'll hear from us again.
